Less-Co or Co-free Lithium-rich Manganese-Based Cathode Materials

Lithium-rich Manganese-based layered materials are one of the most promising cathodes for the lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) with high energy density, because of their high capacity (>250 mAh/g), high cut-off voltage (>4.6V), and environmental friendliness. This series of Li-rich cathodes contain lower or even no cobalt element which is scarce and polluting, and its production cost is more than 20% lower than that of traditional Ni-rich materials, but the energy density can be increased by more than 15%.

  • Lower Cost

    Compatible with the existing NCM cathode production process with much lower materials and manufacturing costs.

  • Higher Capacity

    High cut-off voltage >4.6V. The initial discharge capacity >250 mAh/g. The energy density increase by more than 15%.
